Monica Giovanna Laura Ermolli, graduated in 1997as Molecular Biologist at the University of Milan (Italy). She is working at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission (Ispra, Italy) since 1997. In 1997 she was a Phd student at the Environment Institute (EI), ECVAM Unit ECVAM Unit. In 2002 she was recruited at the Institute of Health and Consumer Protection, Molecular Biology & Genomics Unit. In 2007, she obtained a PhD in Food Biotechnology at the University of Bologna (Italy) developing new analytical methods for GMOs detection and quantification in food and feed. In 2019, she was transferred at the Directorate D, Sustainable Resources, Food Security Unit in the team of the Knowledge Center on Global Food Nutrition Security (KC-FNS) responsible for activity related to the priority topic: “Mycotoxin”.
